In June, the 9/11 Commission gave a "report card" to Congress on the changes made since 9/11. Many of the changes recommended by the 9/11 Commission have been implemented. However, many of the most important changes have not. The chairperson of the 9/11 Commission released the following statement, reminding them that their job is not yet finished.

9/11 Organizations
After hearing of the astonishing stories of heroism and grief that followed 9/11, the question lingers, “How can I help?” Here are several organizations that are taking action to help the victims and their families, to prevent such a tragedy from occurring again, and to ensure that we have not forgotten the significance of 9/11.
Voices of September 11

Voices of September 11 was founded in October 2001 to provide resources, support, and information to all those affected by the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

September 11th Families Association
Lee Ielpi is the Vice President of this association, whose mission is to build a 9/11 Tribute Center, bring together resources for families of the victims of 9/11, and make sure that the victims and heroes of that day are not forgotten.
Skyscraper Safety Campaign
The SSC was one of the first organizations created in response to 9/11, and was primarily responsible for the creation of the NIST WTC Investigation, was represented in the Family Steering Committee of the 9-11 Commission, and advocated for reform of the NYC Building Code. The SSC is a non-profit, charitable organization, which advocates for safer buildings, stricter codes, and fire fighter & public safety, and is one of the most well-known and respected 9/11 organizations in NYC.

The Tribute Center
Lee Ielpi's organization is sponsoring The Tribute Center, a place for those affected by September 11th to share their stories – accounts of the day, and the remarkable outpouring of help and heroism; narratives of courage in spite of loss and grief; and reports of resilience in the face of tragedy. Their goal is to create a memorial center to bring perspective and hope to those seeking to learn about one of the most infamous days in America’s history.
The Christian Michael Otto Regenhard Fund
The Christian Michael Otto Regenhard Fund for Justice, Humanity, and the Environment is a nonprofit organization created in my son's memory. It is a charitable organization which was created to support endeavors relating to justice, good deeds, and environmental issues that Christian would have supported if he had remained alive.
